Fate Part Deux

I’ve received a number of comments regarding this latest post on fate and I wanted to spend some time to clear a few things up.  First, I absolutely believe in fate… just only to a certain extent.  There are truly magical things that happen in this world… miracles… that can not be explained by logical reasoning.  Timing of events, sacrifices of those lost, love in all its beauty, and health in all of its twisted ways are often times, if not always, effects of fate.

However, the point of my post the other day was to explain my basic viewpoint that fate is not everything.  If you want successes in your life, you have to go out and get them.  Not everything can be left up to chance.

I tend to consider myself a realistic person.  Of course, there are many people out there who might not agree with my beliefs.  But, I find it hard to be on the extreme of either side.  I live my life seeking beauty in others, believing in luck and good fortune, but I also realize that things don’t come for free and hard work generally ends in the rewards that you want and sought.

Most importantly, like most things, I think that it is best to see both sides of an argument, understand the crossroads if you will.  And, for that reason, I encourage you to take a look at some stories on fate that I have gathered here:

**Most importantly, what do you think?  Do you have stories that you want to share?

I’m a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it.  ~Thomas Jefferson
