To: Our Dad

In honor of Father’s Day yesterday, I (and my brother and sister) wanted to write a little message to our dad.  I guess this post is mostly for him, but one of the things that I love about my blog is that all these little messages that I, and others, write and all the stories that we tell remain in the interwebs for years to come.  It’s an endless time capsule that we can read when we are having a bad day or want to recall a story from the past.  I want to thank Nicole and Alex for helping contribute to this post – these are definitely some memories that I don’t want to forget!

Ps. Mom – we’ll get you something soon! ;)

In response to the question, who is your dad?

“He is the ideal humble man.  He has never wanted anything extravagant, any fame or recognition.  That stuff actually makes him uncomfortable.  But he goes above and beyond to put others first.  He believes in always doing the right thing simply because it is the right thing to do.  He is a super hero!” ~Nicole

“He is a great role model, mentor and friend.  He cares more about your success than his own.  He is the hardest working person I know.” ~Alex

“For me, my dad shows me how to overcome fear and obstacles on a daily basis.  He teaches me how to be a happier, more humble and more spiritual individual by just being who he is.  He is the greatest guy that I know!” ~Caitlin

Dad – I don’t think we tell you enough how proud we are of you.  Nicole, Alex and I are all better and stronger individuals because of you and because you’ve shown us how to never give up on self-improvement.  We love you!

Ps. You haven’t aged a bit!

  1. What a nice tribute to your dad, a truly nice person. He is dedicated to the greater good of the world and along with your mother has raised 3 fantastic children. I agree, he looks just the same now as he did 20 years ago.
